Boston 1 Dragon Boat Team has welcomed diverse members from all over New England, transplants from across the United States, and international members from around the world, since our founding in 2013. Our primary goal is to promote the sport and community of dragon boat paddling in the Greater Boston area. While we strive to paddle at an elite competitive level, we also welcome paddlers of all levels to share our joy and passion for the sport.

 

With our motto, “Paddle Hard, Fear Nothing”, B1 has nurtured many paddlers to represent us on the global stage. Led by our head coach, who is also a Team USA paddler and Assistant Coach, B1 has had 6 paddlers (and counting!) represent Team USA as athletes. Our team is also active in supporting various local communities by training and coaching corporate teams, university alumni teams, and community teams. Through the culture and dedication of sportsmanship and teamwork, we provide an arena for our members to nurture their talents and character towards becoming leaders and active contributors in their communities and professions.
